El's Zesty Switch: The Royals 2006 (a long one!)

25th Nov

It all started with a talk from Dunstan Chan who came at about 10.30am. His talk was about how to speak in public by shoving away all the nervousness and all the insecurity to speak in public. That was the day when I met all the medic students (Maheswaran, Praveena and Suren). That's when I introduced Pierina and Menaga to the team too. The talk went ok. We had fun. Especially when Dunstan said the word "Ah So!" in Japanese that sounded like "Ass Hole". Hahahaha.. And when he defined "Bitch(Beach)" as "Female dogs surrounded by male dogs" when he was talking about the problem faced by Malaysians with the "ee" and "eeee". "Beach" is "Beeech" where as "Bitch" is "Beetch". hahahah..

Later that night, Pierina, Enzy, Gary, Rohene and I went to Travillion for the DiGi Street Blast. We saw OAG, Disagree, Flowturn(sucks big time), Gary Chow and Ling Yu Zhong. Hahaha.. it was fun. Hazard Minor and Tribezone were there too! I saw spencer and the rest. I met Michael Teng and the Gang. Met Kuan Chin too. It was fun. During dinner before we watched the Concert, we went to Tun Jugah and from there, Enzyfrido knows why I despise Pierina that time. Hahahaha... Both Rohene and I jumped when OAG were on stage. It was pure fun!!

26th Nov

The training starts today. We started off with a brief introduction of things from Danny. And once we're confirmed who our teammates were then we have our lunch. Then, we have our debate training. I was really nervous that I didn't know how but I'm glad there were training because I really needed training. hehehe..

From there, I know a lot about Praveena, Mahesh and also Suren.

27th Nov-29th Nov

It all went on with training and discussions and training and discussions. That's all that we've been doing.

30th Nov

Just to make good impression, all of us wore formal clothings and then we went to UiTM just to register and then get our room keys.

Then, we wanted to get some food but the cafe only opens at 6-8pm. How sucky is that? Then, I planned to just listen to what Daddy Danny told me yesterday. "It's not about being a retard or not, it's about whether we want to show that we are retards or not." Tahahahhah.. Therefore, I just plan to become a retard for the next few days. Hohohoho..

We ended up having our dinner at Siang Siang.

Dec 1st

We went to have our breakfast at cafe B. Danny suddenly get a phone call saying that we were supposed to be there at 8am. There was a slight changes in the program. And when we reached there, we were late for the Security Program. Hahahahahaha.. So wat? Then, we waited til 10.20am hoping that we could watch the demo but we couldn't get in and there was conspiracy or watever la. I don't care anyway.

So, we left Jia Hui with her adjudication stuff and we go to Siang Siang for brunch. Since we don't have Jia Hui's car, The Waranator had to do 2 trips. Danny, Quay, Gary, Rohene and I were on the 2nd trip. That was the first time I heard Quay sing. Hahahah.. it was a bit of surprising and and the same time, funny. hahahah.. just weird la. Then, The Waranator came and drove us all to Siang Siang. We have our brunch there and I have porridge. Suren gets asked me to order for him whatever I order again. He's been doing tat everytime we hav our food at Siang Siang. Hmm.. He trusts my choice of food. hahahah..tat's funny. I order almost the same thing everytime. Lol.

Dec 2nd
Our first day of Debate. We reached there at 6.30am but the cafe still wasn't open. Luckily there were 2 puppies to entertain us. Lol. It was fun then. Hmm.. Then, I really love to watch them but they were pretty dirty, so I didn't dare to touch them. hehe.. There were 3 rounds of Prelims today. The 1st really sucked. I didn't join any of the rounds though. We faced UM for the first round and it was really an exposure for me because they spoke really fast and I really couldn't get what they were really talking about because they put too many words into explaining one thing. That's my opinion though.

Me not joining any round today really makes me feel bad because Daddy gave me the "good luck" slap on my shoulder and I really appreciate that. I think Daddy really treats me like a gal tat should b taken care of. Seriously, I appreciate his moral support but on the other hand, I didn't debate today. But Aril said he'll let me debate tomorrow. We lost the 1st 2 rounds but won the last one against our own Swing team. We went back and have our dinner, then sleep. hehehehe..

Dec 3rd
I was so ready for both rounds that I'm going to go through today. The first round, I only did 6 minutes plus of speech. I didn't know what else to say even though my team mates kept asking me to continue. That time, I really thought our team would have won the round. There was 3 adjudicators. The chairperson gave the win to us but the two other ladies next to him actually consider about the protocols more rather than the content or the points tat we brought up during the debate and gave us the lost. It really pisses me off because the Gov didn't even define their case properly and it was really a very messy debate because we really didn't know how to hit them because there wasn't any target at all. They were totally off the motion!

The second round, our last round for the prelims, I didn't join because I know nothing about Iraq. Whatever Shitte and Sunni. Aril knows a lot about it, therefore I didn't join the debate. But I did give Quay a massage (hitting style, not rubbing style. hahah) just to get rid of his panic attack. hahah. If it was about Guantanamo Bay, I would've known a lot about it. Lol. But Iraq, hmm.nonono.. I don't wanna cause the team to lose. Nor do I have the confidence to do it.

Dec 4th
We found out all of us couldn't get into the quarter finals. But, it doesn't matter anymore. Because the past cannot be undone. Then, we watched the quarter finals and then the semi finals. We know who was going to go for the Finals. The junior teams are UM and UMS where the senior teams are UIA and UiTM.

From there, we found out tat we need to know how to crap in order to win a round. It was freakign obvious, anyway. Yeah, talk about the protocols and stuff, ask the 2 ladies sitting next to Dr. Simon to judge them, then they'll know how crap can overpower protocols. Muahahahahahha..

Dec 5th
We didn't wanna watch the Final round for the Junior team cos we weren't really interested. We did some post-mortem then, instead. Then, we went to watch the Final round for the Senior team. We really thought UIA should've won but the guys from UiTM won instead. And erm..I really thought Daniel Amin was cool. I like this quote from him,"The Government said genocide is bad, and we say, Duh!" I really liked that joke. It doesn't give them any point there but still it makes the gov looks bad for once. That's what I thought.

That night, we had the Dinner and the winner were announced. The first prize winner for the junior team was UM and the senior team was UiTM. Erm, we didn't go there to actually congratulate them, nor did we go there to make any friends. We were there just to have fun and to make fun too! You wouldn't have guessed what we did or said when someone gave some speech or sing some songs. Lol.. it was funny and it shall be kept as a secret of what we did. *wink wink*
