The previous post, maybe you guys might thought that I posted it up just because I thought it was pretty memorable, well u didn't get it all wrong though.
It's just amazing how we bond..in just, let's see.......2 weeks. Or shall I say, how I bond with them within just 2 weeks? I just got to know Praveena, Jia Hui and The Waranator. The rest of the team like Judith, Menaga and Pierina just joined. And guess what, we all get together like one big family. There are times when things don't go the way that we want it to be but then again, we still carry on with our duty as the debate team members and try to reach our goal, which was to WIN.
Well yes, it was a bit sad when we couldn't even get to the quarter finals but we still gain something else from there, a family. A BIG BIG FAMILY.
There are few things that I learnt from the competition.
1) You have to know how to CRAP
2) You have to be charismatic (either showing ur breaking elbow when giving P.O.I, stand with arrogant style, or just be really sarcastic and demean ur opponent)
3) You have to walk in style to intimidate the opponent to make them lose their self-esteem. (Muahahahaha)
4) Nobody really appreciates your team's unity(even the adjudicators H-A-B-I-D-A) It's just for your own satisfactory.
5) You have to act like you look down on your opponent
6) It's okay to be rude towards anyone during debate because there's no such thing as P.O.O. (not poo as in S.H.I.T you freak, but it's Points Of Order)
7) It doesn't matter whether you sound like Mr. Hand or Terence or The Canadian Minister of Movie from Southpark, as long as you know well enough how to crap your things out.
These are the ones that I could think of right now.
hohoho.. Anyway hor, I feel very very very very wait.. did I say very? yeah.. very GLAD that I joined the debate team. Thanks to Gary and Rohene for pulling me in. Hahaha. Alright, I'll just leave now or else I'll be stuck here in remorse for not folding all those clothes I have to fold now. hehe. cya~!
