~Family~

F A M I L Y

I ran into a stranger as he passed by,
"Oh excuse me please" was my reply.
He said, "Please excuse me too; I wasn't watching for you."
We were very polite, this stranger and I.
We went on our way and we said goodbye.
But at home a different story is told,
How we treat our loved ones, young and old.
Later that day, cooking the evening meal,
My son stood beside me very still.
When I turned, I nearly knocked him down.
"Move out of the way," I said with a frown.
He walked away, his little heart broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken.
"While I lay awake in bed,God's still small voice came to me and said,
While dealing with a stranger,common courtesy you use,
but the family you love, you seem to abuse. Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.
He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
"You never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."
By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.
I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up" I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"
He smiled, "I found them, out by the tree.I picked them because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."
I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."
He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay.I love you anyway."
I said, "Son, I love you too,and I do like the flowers, especially the blue."
Are you aware that if we died tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.
But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.
And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than into our own family,an unwise investment indeed,don't you think?
Do you know what the word FAMILY means?
FAMILY = (F)ATHER (A)ND (M)OTHER (I) (L)OVE (Y)OU

Actually right, if u think I was to preech about God, U R wrong. 'Cos it starts to scare me when D. said this once, " Talking about everyone having an IMAGINARY FRIEND, I wonder if God is considered as our imaginary friend. We TALK to Him everytime we need to talk to someone, and we treat him as our Friend". Hahaha.. funny!! Plus.....I don't believe in God. I follows the Buddha's teaching altho I'm not sure whether he existed or not. And I believe that what Lady Kwan Yin practices is good. All the teachings are good and for sure, I believe that by doing good, you'll receive good deeds too. Maybe not instantaneously, but hey, you never know, maybe when you feel lucky, it maybe comes from all the good deeds you've done in the past (I'm not talking about past lives, superstitious dudes). I only believe in what I want to believe. Therefore, I'm not a Non-Believer. Muahahahah.. at least I believe in SOMETHING. hahahahaha.. Just In Case If You Wanna Give Me A Comment, DO NOT write something like : " Maybe you might wanna believe in HIM once in a while". I'll hunt u down like a rabbit, u idiot. Don't disturb my religious life, u freak!

ok, back to my story.. erm.. i think (F)ather (M)other (I) (L)ove (Y)ou is just darn idiotic. Playing with acronyms and expect everyone to believe in it. Like my name, ING = Idiot's New Gene / Intelligency Navigation Gateway. Muahahha.. i can crap it however I want. Plus, if it's all about Father and Mother, what about Daughter and Sons? Gone with the wind? Tahahahah...

Ok, Ok, I didn't post it up to insult it. I'm not that bad..wait, let me check..hmm.. well I am. Muahahah.. but the intention of insulting it till the very end isn't there. hehehe.. Ok, Actually I think whatever written there is actually going on. Wanna know why? Because I found out I concentrate more on my work rather than my family. This is because I wanna reach my goal in life. But OKANE($) can be earned all the time but not family members. They are not there for the rest of ur life.

Everytime when I think about how old my dad is now, I'll get teary unconsciously....serious. U c, he's 66 this year and he's still working hard everyday to earn some cash to feed us at home. Then, he has to pia ki pia lok (means struggle up n down) to help my mom open her stall to sell vege. My mom sells vege now.. and bananas too! If u need any supply, just call me up la. Hahaha.. erm.. The Okane my mom earn is for my mom's personal usage. My dad thinks it's a good way for my mom to lose weight *wink* and also to help my dad save some okane. At least she's not asking from my dad for some Okane. hehehe... So, my dad's burden has lessen. It's not a bad thing...but I just pity my dad. Kawaii so otosan. I'm glad he pulled through all these while. I bet he can win over any chiropractor in this world. He's better than anyone else in it. He's so good that he can even help to cure stroke patients. Maybe 89%? He recovered from Stroke himself. But too bad in this world today, you need certs for everything. Especially in my dad's field, if there's no written proof from any recognised University, he'll just remain as a nobody. And if he were to advertise himself, it will go against the Medicine Act. Means, he'll be a nobody forever. Damn it!!

But guess what, I always put more attention into work than into family, and I never really understood why. I guess that's where I can become myself and proof myself to those people out there. That's why I wanted a Dean's List so badly but I couldn't get it. Maybe next sem.

Whenever I try to change, and treat my family better and get involved more in this family compared to work, my family members would ask me this question, "why suddenly so nice to us? you want something is't?". CAN'T I BE NICE FOR NO REASON AT ALL? I guess not. They always suspect that you need to gain somethign back from them and that's what made me lost interest. Plus, once they know that you are always helpful, they'll USE YOUR HELP TO THE FULLEST! They start to use you and sometimes it's just annoying how you can't concentrate on your own stuff and starts doin stuff that other ppl are supposed to do. I don't know anymore. I just wanna live in a happy family where the word "OKANE" will be used seldomly. I just wish that if someone borrows RM60 from the other person, he or she will just forget about it if the other person forgot to pay back. Well, of course it would be different if it's RM1000 or more. If it's just some little money, I just hope they won't look at it so heavily. It'll really spoil the family's relationship. What more to say friendship? If it's instilled in the way of thinking of a certain family, it might just be used in real life outside and it'll involves the others too. hmm..

Things are hard when there are pros and cons..that's y, I don't agree on polarized thinking. I just like things to be in the middle. hehehe.. therefore, 50% family, 50% work.

P/s: when I say work, I mean school work. hehe
